Hi everyone! I'm Talaija Smith and was born with sensorineural hearing loss. I received my Cochlear Impant at 3 1/2 years old and was able to hear for the first time. I recently just graduate from Bevill State Community College. I'm looking forward to being part of new community, so yeah let's chat or add me!
Hi everyone! I'm Lauren, from MA, and I'm 30 years old. I work as an interior designer at an architectural firm just outside of Boston.
I was born with severe hearing loss. I currently wear a CI in my left ear and have plans to get a second one for my right ear in September. I was 7 years old when I got my first one so feeling a little nervous for the second one since it's been sooo long. Looking forward to being part of this community! Please don't hesitate to reach out or add me :)
Hi! I'm Marne Sullivan and was born deaf and had cochlear implant surgery when I was 3 1/2 years old. I just recently graduated from Boston College and was a part of the women’s track and field team! I will be pursuing my graduate degree this fall while competing with my 5th year of NCAA eligibility. I love doing content creation via social media, connecting with people, and believe in the power of storytelling, so let's chat! 😊
Hi all- I'm Lisa, I was part of a FB community but trying to stay off social for now. Nice to find a new spot to chat with others with hearing loss. I'm a teacher, which hasn't been easy. Would love any tips from anyone with a similar line of work and hearing loss...
I'm Dee. In my early 40s, I began experiencing significant hearing loss due to an illness. It's been a journey filled with challenges, but also growth. I'm continuously discovering new ways to figure things out. I'm looking forward to learn from others, and be part of this new community.
