Michal Luntz, M.D.

Michal Luntz is a physician-scientist and surgeon specializing in Otology and Implantable Hearing Solutions, with over 40 years of experience, including more than 8,000 surgical interventions, 1,500 cochlear implant surgeries, and 120 peer-reviewed publications. She combines her professional expertise with personal experience of hearing loss, as a current cochlear implant user and former hearing aid user. In 2023, she was honored with the ANS Presidential Citation Award.

Carrie Spangler, Au.D.

Dr. Carrie Spangler is an educational audiologist with over 25 years of experience, specializing in school-based services and advocacy for teens. She combines her professional expertise with personal experience as both a hearing aid and cochlear implant user. Dr. Spangler is a certified coach, focusing on values-based living and goal setting. She has presented nationally and internationally and hosts the empowEAR Audiology Podcast. In 2021, she received the Fred Berg Award and the ASHA Fellow Award.
