Question - for those who use assistive listening devices, which ones do you use? Did you get them through an AuD?

As the new school year quickly approaches, I thought it would be helpful to share some information on assistive listening technologies for people with Auditory Processing Disorder (APD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), and Dyslexia, who have normal hearing. We plan to write a more comprehensive article on this topic in the future.

A friend recently reached out to inquire about the best assistive listening technologies for teenagers with APD. People of all ages who have Dyslexia, concentration difficulties (like ADD/ADHD), and APD can significantly benefit from these technologies. They improve the signal-to-noise ratio in various settings like classrooms, conference calls, meeting rooms, large events, and more, enhancing focus and comprehension.

After consulting with several Audiologists (AuDs), the recommended system was the PHONAK Roger System, specifically the 'Roger-on' transmitter and the Roger Focus II receiver.
