Hear & Out

Hi everyone!! I’m from a surrounding suburb of Chicago and have lived there my whole life! The story of my hearing is actually unknown and it wasn’t until I was 1 in December of 2001 that my parents figured out I had hearing issues because my cousin blew a party horn in my ear and I didn’t react lol. So we don’t know if I was born with hearing or not. Im fully deaf in both ears and got implanted on my right ear when I was 3 years old after hearing aids didn’t work. I’ve recently graduated nursing school and will be starting a new job as a registered nurse in a neuro intensive care unit in less than a week! I’ve worked in neuro as a patient care tech for a few years and realized I was super interested in neuro so I decided to stick through with it!
